Italian global leader in technical fabrics for screen-printing and industrial filtration

Engagement: 2006 – ongoing · External Export Area Manager and Trading Service

Engagement began in 2006 as external Export Area Manager for the company's Filtration division, initially covering Thailand. Over the next six years the territory was progressively expanded to all of Southeast Asia — Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Singapore — and in 2008 the Printing division was added to the scope.

Between 2009 and 2013, a virtual office with customer service was opened in Bangkok to support the growing regional business, and a local Technical Manager was hired in 2010 to provide on-the-ground technical support to customers. Both functions were wound down in 2013 when the company adjusted its global strategy and the territorial focus narrowed to Thailand and Bangladesh.

In 2015, in addition to the continuing Export Area Manager mandate, MC Square began acting as the dedicated trading service for the Bangladesh market — a market whose commercial complexity (notably Letter of Credit handling and trade documentation) required management from Thailand rather than direct from Italy.

Today, both relationships continue actively after 20 years of uninterrupted partnership.
